What's a Sign Up Party you ask?  Well, it is something new and exciting that will be available at the 2009 Spring "Let The Good Times Roll" Event.  Sign Up Parties are typically for a large group of people with a specified date and number of guests.  All you have to do is write down your name on the sign-up sheet for the party or parties you’d like to attend and you are in! The cost of each party varies. As we prepare to bid farewell to 2008, we look back on an exciting and successful year, not only for the Foundation but for our school community and the community we call home.

You might have snow and Santa on the brain, but, believe it or not, it’s not too early to start making plans for the Foundation’s spring fund-raiser.

The District 57 Education Foundation funded grants totaling nearly $11,000 last month, benefiting students at Westbrook, Fairview, Lions Park and Lincoln.

Clearbrook will give $2.00 to The District 57 Education Foundation for every passenger car that presents this voucher at the admission gate MONDAY - THURSDAY ONLY. Community Days: Monday - Thursday 5:30 - 9:00 p.m. Open all holidays (including 12/24, 12/25, 12/31 & 1/1). Voucher NOT VALID Friday - Sunday. Not valid with any other coupon.

The family requests that donations in the memory of Guenther Fredericks, husband of Sue Ramstedt, be made out to the District 57 Education Foundation. As a long-time supporter of the Foundation and the children of District 57, these contributions will live on in the support of our children and their learning. All donations will be acknowledged, and 100% of all donations will go directly to benefit the students of School District 57.

Last year the foundation helped equip a dozen classrooms with Smart Boards, interactive white boards that combine the traditional idea of a blackboard with a computer and offer many interactive learning opportunities. The foundation has announced it will bring these learning tools to the remaining classrooms in the district.

Thank you for participating in the Education Foundation's Golf Outing and/or Back-to-School Barbecue. Thanks to your support, the events generated funds that will enable the Foundation to enhance the education of District 57 students throughout this school year. We couldn't do it without you! We are always trying to improve our events, in order to provide even greater support for District 57 classrooms. So we would appreciate your feedback on the golf outing and/or barbecue.
